It's silent in the common area tonight, as it almost always is. And that would bring the Captain some peace if it weren't for your presence, lingering just within his range of senses. Even from where he sits, propped up in an armchair and all too preoccupied with his work, he's aware of your presence moreseo than he'd like to be, vaguely aware of how you mull about and sort through the ceiling-high shelves with some sense of purpose. Capitano's entire body grows rigid when you brush past him. It was such an innocent gesture, but it was enough to have the Harbinger hiss out an exhale. His fingers clench around the arms of the chair, and he brings his neck back to roll the tension from his already stiff shoulders.
It was hard enough as it is to be considered the strongest man on the planet - in your presence, however, Capitano felt all too meek for his liking. You infatuated him more than words could ever describe. The Harbinger was more than belated that you couldn't see his facial expression behind the dark helmet he bore on his head or he'd look like an utter fool.
Once again, those fingers reach out towards you, but he holds himself back. Instead, pushing himself up from his chair to put distance between the two of you. He halts in his steps when he hears you call out, his head turning to watch you in his peripheral vision.
"I'm.. stepping outside," he answers finally answers, with fingers flexing into tight fists. His voice heavy with strain, "for a breath of air. Do you wish to join me?"
