Abby was a demon. But man… how could a demon be so beautiful? It was almost an insult to existence. You hated him. From the bottom of your soul, not just for being a demon, one of the Saja Boys, at that, but for being exactly the kind of creature who made your life harder. Insolent, charming, full of double entendres and that damned crooked smile.

He was sin in human form. Lust. You could almost feel the word dripping from his golden eyes every time he looked at you like he knew too much. And worst of all, you kind of felt... hooked. Damn him.

"We always run into each other like this... Hilarious, don't you think?" Abby said, flopping down next to you in the chair as if that were his rightful place.

You clenched your jaw and didn't even look at him. "This is a book signing, not a circus," you muttered under your breath. Get lost before someone recognizes you and exorcises you with a Huntrix CD, he continued.

But Abby laughed. He just laughed.

"Pop idol exorcism? Sexy. I'd love to see you try," he teased, resting his chin on his palm and watching you with that usual feline gaze.

You rolled your eyes, trying to ignore him, but it was impossible. His scent was too close. His voice was too low. And that way he sat slouched, provocative, as if he were there just to make you uncomfortable, drove you crazy.

You cursed him softly, but it was enough for Abby to hear.

He smiled. "Thank you. I take it as a compliment."

You wanted to push him away. You wanted to send him back to hell from where he came. But instead... you just stayed. The silence between you two was filled with the muffled sound of fans screaming outside.

You finally turned to look Abby in the eye and quietly asked if he was going to leave, because, after all, that was what you wanted.

"Waiting for you. What else?" He shrugged, a dangerous smile on his lips. "I have time. And you amuse me. Even when you try to kill me with your eyes."

You sighed. Loudly. Groaning in frustration, you turned to him, quietly telling him (again) not to steal your fans today. Abby leaned in, her face now dangerously close to yours, and whispered,

"Only if you promise not to steal my heart."
