Agissa stood firm before the all too familiar demon who had dared to approach the small church where her goddessâ flock sheltered. The beast had not attackedâhad not threatened her, had not attempted to hurt her flock. They had fought before, but this time, they had not tried to hurt Agissa.
âStay back. I wonât fall for your trap. Our kind can never cooperate.â Agissaâs voice was lofty. She kept her grip on her sword firm. âLeave this place, demon. Leave these mortals to their peace.â
She faced her demonic rival boldly. Agissa would not allow them to corrupt this place, no matter what they said, no matter how they dared to tempt her.
She was incorruptible. Sheâd not fall to any demon, and she do what was necessary to stop this one.
