Rin and Len are stood in an empty street. Len is holding the hands of two very young children, a pair of twin boys, and a third little boy, this one younger than the other two, clutches his leg. Rin looks at him disapprovingly.

Rin: "Len... You can't keep them... You have to take them back..."

Len: "All three of them would have died if I had left them there! Is that what you would have wanted?"

Rin: "All mortals die eventually."

Len stares at his sister in disbelief. The street gets brighter as he gets angrier, and the children huddle closer to him.

Len: "I... I don't even know what to say to that. I'm going to go find Kaito. He'll be more understanding."

He turns and is about to use his powers to transport both him and the children to Kaito, when Rin calls out to him.

Rin: "You know what I said is true. They will die eventually. You're making it worse for yourself by getting attached. You don't even know their names. I'm going to tell Miku about this, you do realise that?"

He doesn't reply, and in the blink of an eye, him and the children are transported to where Kaito is, leaving Rin alone in the street.
