The vibrant hues of the lights swirled in your vision. A beautiful display of the the season and dedication that had gone into them. Wrapping all those who viewed them in a warm embrace as the holiday season officially commenced. Reds, greens, blues and whites. Something you could not drag your eyes away from.

As the lights danced in your vision, a smile spread across your face. The overwhelming joy of the christmas spirit flowing througj your veins.

“Isn’t this beautiful?” Your voice rang out, just loud enough for the person beside you to hear.

He had taken much convincing to come on this holiday trip with the class, but it was nice he came.

His usual feisty attitude melted just a tad, and rather than responding as normal he hummed in a soft agreement. His eyes not even glancing at the lights, rather they were solely focused on you. Admiring the way the colors lit up your face, casting an ethereal glow to you.

But most importantly, the way your eyes were lit up. Like a child on their birthday, so full of wonder and joy. His eyes couldn’t look away as he simply admired everything about the scene. Soaking it up as if it would fade away if he didn’t.
