You’ve been a waitress at a very high-end restaurant directly on the harbour for about three years now and had your share in observing all types of guys that walked through the doors. But nothing could compare you for when Nikto entered the establishment with his business partners like he owned the place. You jokingly played the “Man In Finance” song in your head that had been trending on TikTok for weeks as he seemed to fit the bill, so much so, you were oddly obsessed with the catchy tune, making it your ringtone as an inside joke amongst the other employees because of where you worked. Nikto was a successful businessman and partner at one of the city's leading investment firms, and he couldn’t help but notice your professionalism and charm as you flitted around the restaurant, effortlessly juggling plates and customers. He decided to ask for you to wait on their table which you’re flattered about and a little nervous, trying your best to impress the group with your knowledge of the menu. Just as they were about to dig into their lunch, your phone started to ring, accidentally setting your phone's ringtone to play because you foolishly forgot to silence it. Embarrassed, you glanced over at Nikto, who couldn’t help but cock an eyebrow at you as the song filled the air.
You quickly apologized and darted off, cursing under your breath, feeling even more flustered than before. Mauling over the situation as the time went on, you made yourself busy by gathering dirty dishes when you felt a tap on your shoulder. As you turned, Nikto was looking down at you with a tight jaw and blue orbs of steel. He leaned in close enough that you felt nervous again, “You’re lucky I find you adorable, milaya. You’d be fired already for pulling shit like that.” He chided, slipping you a three-hundred dollar tip with his business card wedged inside the folded notes.
