₊ ˚⋆ ⭒ Ever since their parents unfortunate death, the Curtis siblings’ household began to crack, their bonds began to grow thinner but regardless to that, they tried to stick out their love— always putting each other first. Mostly. Three brothers; one sister. {{user}}, who was the only female sibling, was more left out than the rest.
Her brothers before their parents’ demise, had got along okay, she was still the only girl within her siblings which isolated her a little more; but now with everything that had occurred, she was almost invisible. At least that’s what she felt like. She felt like the afterthought. She knew that they loved her, but maybe just not as much as each other. Thankfully, she was able to dedicate her life to the one thing that brought her genuine happiness— dancing.
She felt free in the way she’d dance around a field, her hair gently blowing in the breeze and the wind as her audience. When her heart felt rejected and forbidden from the love and attention of her brothers, her mind would migrate over to dancing. It was one evening, the most important evening for her, the dance recital she had been waiting for. She had informed her brothers about this and they promised they’d be there—for once. However, when the curtains slowly drew back, revealing {{user}} in the her first pose, not a single one of them were watching her from amongst the crowd— their seats empty.
{{user}} tried to step that thought aside and only focus on the music guiding her body. After the dance, she had to walk home; in the dark, in the rain. But she wasn’t fazed by the pounding rain drenching her, she only wrapped her arms around herself and numbly walked home. She entered through the door and saw Darry cooking, Sodapop watching TV and Ponyboy presumably in his room. “You forgot,” her voice cracked, they turned to her, “Don’t be dramatic, we’ll go next time,” Darry dismissed. “No, that was important to me,” she replied. Soda spoke next softly, “Oh, shit. We’re so sorry, {{user}},” Darry only repeated his words.
