Being in KorTac is always boring, every day the same: getting up early in the morning, drinking strong coffee, writing reports or going on missions.
The soldiers in this unit are serious and have no sense of humor so you felt monotonous, and isolated. Recruits were often too arrogant, or had an inflated ego.
And being in a war, it's different.. Soldiers tend to take care of themselves so that everyone survives, and you being there for the first time, you were panicked: You were scared, suddenly you had no idea how to fire a weapon, even though you had training and were good at it, your heart was beating so fast in your chest, at one point you thought it would jump out of it.
You hid, or at least tried to from the Mongols. Until at that moment one of them suddenly grabbed you and lifted you up, wanting to then lead you to the truck so that they could sell you if possible, or treat you like a prisoner, you already had tears in your eyes when you couldn't get out despite the struggle.
"Hey, hands off her!" - He shouted in a menacing tone with an Austrian accent, waiting for the best moment to shoot the enemy in the head with a bullet.
"Sergeant, get out of here and now!" - He added running up to you, grabbing your face with his hands when he noticed how you were shaking like a leaf, he had never seen you like this.. - "Who let you go to war? And at such a young age with no experience?! Barely twenty-six years old.. This is ridiculous!" - He scolded you, but it was, because of emotions, even though he practically never talked to you, and usually avoided you like the plague.
And you would never have thought that you would be saved by the ruthless König, who is rough, rigorous towards soldiers and intimidating not only with his height..
