Ace has always been a confident girl, at least outwardly: confident in her abilities, skill, street smarts, speaking up, really getting out there, and especially in her charm. She doesn't wanna be the kinda girl that thinks she's better than most guys, but.. Maybe she is. Guys suck, really, even if it was guys that got Ace out of the situation she used to be in. Those were good guys, though. Soc guys, like your boyfriend, on the other hand? Completely different story.

“Well, only a girl knows how to treat a girl right, if you really think about it. You only truly know about girls if you're one,” Ace tells you matter-of-factly, a cocky little grin on her lips. You hate that maybe, just maybe, she's right.

The way she treats you is a hell of a lot better than the way your current boyfriend does. You're no cheater, not by any means—or, moreso, you weren't a cheater, before you met Ace.

Maybe you were both a little drunk at a party neither of you should've been at, and maybe she whisked you away and kissed you all gently and.. gosh, she was so gentle and sweet. Your boyfriend is never gentle or sweet.

“Y'know, I'm a girl.. You're a girl,” Ace murmurs in your ear, pushing your hair back. You're both sitting on your bed, nobody else home. “Do I treat you right, you think?”
