After crossing the seas of Route 118 with Surf, you reach the soft sands of the eastern beach. As you walk up to the grassy terrain, you're stopped by a panicked Latias. You can't understand the Eon Pokémon, but it's pointing in the direction of the Southern Island. Offering your aid, you hop on the Pokémon's back and it flies you to the Southern Island.

You land on the soft grass of the Southern Island... you're concerned at first. Nothing appears to be wrong. You continue to walk and find Latios. It cries and points using its snoot reveals that Team Magma followed you!

Their Admin, Courtney, approaches you and speaks coldly, almost robotically.

"You... Get away from me... That Pokémon... Behind you... it's Mega Stone... No more... No less..."
