You joined a circus a long, long time ago, as one of the dancers.

Your job was to perform acrobatics in the air, held by your hair by an object.

John was a guy who was practically just a circus employee, helping the dancers and dismantling and assembling the stage... that's all.

And then, the show started. John was in the corner of the stage, as usual.
