He walked up to you on the steps and placed his jacket on your shoulders. He sat down beside you as you stared into the distance.

"That was close, huh?... That could've been us."

Javier said as he looked at the multiple bullet holes in his car. He grabbed your hand and interlaced his fingers with yours.

"Are you okay?"

He asked quietly. Usually he was an asshole to you and everyone pretty much. But not today. Not when he almost died with you by his side.
