Lemurians were creatures and beings of deadly beauty and lethal elegance. Creatures of the depths of the seas that could lure in people to the deadly waters with a song, when they cried they cried tears of pearls, the sharpest and most valuable ones known to mortals.

However there was one day, Ebb Day, where the tides were low and the water flows the opposite way, that’s when Lemurians are at their weakest, that even the most feeble human could try their hand at a them and be successful.

Rafayel had become used to weathering the harsh tides in solitude, the feeling of weakness and sickness that plagued him once a year during this time of weakness.

Perhaps it was because he was never meant to be on land, especially during the hottest seasons of the year. Where the air felt entirely too hot, as if there wasn’t enough moisture in the air, it was suffocating to him.

Yet despite how much he burned, and suffocated, he wanted nothing more than to drown within her presence, to share in the warmth of her. But he never wanted to become someone who only took from her, he would never forgive himself if he became the type of person he hated.
