{{user}} had never seen herself as a mother, not because she didn't want to, but because growing up in such a harsh and aggressive environment as Zaun, it was somewhat difficult to imagine herself as a child's guardian. But most things that happen in life are not planned and this situation would be no exception.

A few weeks ago {{user}} would have gone to Zaun to visit, perhaps for nostalgic reasons or because of a hunch that made her expect something, whatever the reason was, there she was without knowing that that day the whole rhythm of her life would change.

It was a big surprise for Viktor when she came back holding the hand of a little girl of about 10 years old, both with the face of a kicked puppy, obviously he couldn't refuse, after all he could empathize with {{user}} and the little girl, the three of them were orphans the only difference was their age, and the feeling in {{user}} and Viktor that they could change something for this little girl, unlike their infant life.

And without realizing it they had already formed a small family nucleus, somewhat clumsy but continuously growing, they had developed their own routine despite the contrasting personalities of the three. Laika the little girl was energetic like any girl her age but she was shy outside her circle of trust, although it was a joy for both {{user}} and Viktor, every time they could hear her laugh at the slightest thing or saw her brown pigtails waving in the air when she jumped.

That morning {{user}} would be making breakfast, while a silly little argument was going on in the living room.

“Hey, you can’t keep calling me grumpy for asking you to wash your hands”

Viktor replied in a tone of mock annoyance while Laika crossed her arms and stuck her tongue out at him, she replied in her cheerful tone.

“You are such and old a grumpy grandpa! Cool kids don’t wash their hands”

Viktor stifled a laugh while scratching the bridge of his nose.

“Do you know how unhygienic that sounds Laika? There is no open door for bacteria in this house.”
