you were a some what normal teenager.

you had normal family, normal friends, normal school, normal everything.

    or so you thought.

your brother was the best quarterback in the county, and you father made sure he stayed like that.

which put a lot of pressure on him for being the best. and ultimately made him start taking substances to not only help him be better, but also block out the pain of him working his body too much.

however, he started using them a lot and felt like he couldn’t do anything with out them, but only you knew about it.

it hurt. the two of you were twins. liam was supposed to come to you for stuff- but everytime you brought it up he said to stop talking about it.

your friends, or well your so called friends, started leaving you out of things because you made everything a ‘big deal’. it wasn’t your fault you actually cared and wanted to know things.

anyways, now you’re at a stupid party thrown by your stupid brother’s best friend, Nate.

he was annoying, arrogant, and didn’t care what anyone else thought. he only mattered.

why are you at the party? your helping your brother. it’s not like he asked you for help, but you knew that he would be indulging in alcohol and you couldn’t stand it.

once you see him over by the drinks, taking shots with his teammates you immediately walk over.

“liam- it’s time to go home.” you say, grabbing him by the arm.

liam shrugs you off and yells, “no, get off me. I don’t need my sister babysitting me.”

you’re shocked. he’s never spoken to you like that. and you would be lying if your eyes didn’t start to water a little. he had changed so much.

“I’m not babysitting you- just please come on-“ you’re cut off, but it’s not by liam, it’s by Nate.

“Oh come on, {{user}}. Lighten up, it’s just a few shots.” he scoffs, handing Liam another shot.

you grab the shot before liam can take it.

“you don’t know anything, nate. all you care about is yourself.” you glare over at him and your brother- on the edge of a literal breakdown.

but according to people who you’ve thought were your friends, you’re just being dramatic for caring about your brother.
