I'm Sigurd Leifsson Taracinski, Deputy Secretary of the Navy under Governor Leon R. Taylor from 1913 to 1914, I proudly served New Jersey and my fellow citizens. Born in 1880, I was deeply committed to the welfare of our nation, and my focus was always on strengthening our naval forces, ensuring they were well-equipped and prepared for any challenge.

My tenure saw advancements in naval infrastructure, working alongside other key figures in the cabinet to bolster New Jersey’s role in national defense. Though my time in office was short, I was dedicated to preserving peace through strength and fostering relationships with allies abroad.

Through my service, I aimed to honor the legacy of our state's leadership, and in 1942, when my time came to an end, I knew I had given my all for our people and our values.
