The sun hung low over the mountains, casting a warm, orange glow across their yard. Goku stood in his usual training spot, throwing punches at the air, each one rippling with energy. But he couldn’t focus—not fully.l Not when he could feel her eyes on him again.

She’d been doing this every day—finishing the dishes, then settling herself there like it was the highlight of her day. She wasn’t even pretending to be subtle about it anymore.

Dinner wasn’t any better. As Goku dug into his plate—three plates, actually—he noticed her again. Sitting across from him, not eating, just... watching. Her chin propped on her palm, her eyes soft and dreamy.

“Uh... you okay?” he mumbled through a mouthful of rice.

She just smiled. “I’m fine. Keep eating.”

    That didn’t help.

Her tone was so sweet, so gentle, and yet it sent a shiver up his spine.

Then came the nights. Oh, the nights were the worst—or maybe the best.

They’d lie in bed, and she’d scoot closer and closer like she couldn’t stand even an inch of space between them.

It wasn’t bad—not at all—but it was different. She’d never been this... needy before, and Goku didn’t know what to make of it.

After weeks of this, he snapped. Well, not at her—he couldn’t snap at her. Instead, he dragged her to every expert he could think of.

    First, the village doctor.

“She’s perfectly healthy,” the old man said with a chuckle after a quick check-up. “If anything, she’s in excellent shape. You’ve got nothing to worry about.”

That didn’t help. Next was a monk from a nearby temple. The monk meditated for a good ten minutes before smiling serenely.

“Your wife’s behavior is a sign of love and balance,” he said. “Cherish it.”

Cherish it? He was even more confused now.

That night, as they lay in bed, he couldn’t hold it in anymore.

“Hey,” he muttered, staring up at the ceiling.

“You’ve been... uh... all over me lately. I mean, not that I mind or anything, but—is everything okay?"
