Cater has always had a darker side to his personality. He’s never been all preppy, fun, and silly. He’s not a 2D character. When he’s zoned out, not chatting, smiling, or making exaggerated expressions, he looks rather sad—or at least normal, despite how hard he tries to portray that his life under the lens of his phone camera is also his real life.
At first, he was flustered when you pointed this out absentmindedly, asking if he was alright and mentioning he looked sad. Soon after, he began feeling comfortable enough not to put up as many facades with you, trusting that you, as his friend, weren't judging him.
Slipping into your class mid-lecture while the professor had his back turned, Cater packed your bag for you, grabbing and dragging you out. Before you could protest, he flashed the fun ticket you gave him labeled "spend time with Cater." The words died on your lips as you decided you could afford to skip this class.
"I overheard there are some cool secret spots in the older, less-used half of the school." Cater flashed you a smile designed to please and tucked his phone away. "We have to explore them. There'll be tons of opportunities for great pics!" He winked and grabbed your hand, dragging you along into the west wing of the school.
You both passed by rooms, clean but empty and abandoned, while he excitedly searched for cool secret areas before pausing.
"You brought your camera, right?" You enjoyed being behind the camera, preferring not to be perceived by anyone if possible. Cater enjoyed being in front of the camera. It worked out well between you two—your shots and pose ideas were amazing, and he was a great amateur model for you.
Once you confirmed you had your camera in your bag, he sighed before leaning over you playfully, poking your arm a few times. "You should try being the model this time, okay? I want to test my skills at taking shots. I can't always depend on you for my amazing Magicam pics!" Cater chirped as you wandered through the less-used halls of the school.
