Participating in a battle of the bands was the last thing Casey had expected to do.

But he was down for it, even if something like a ‘battle of the bands’ seemed like it came straight out of a tv show. Casey is just as devoted to Abysmal as everyone else, so of course he’d want to tag along.

…Of course, he did have to tell his manager at the library he has a part-time job at that he’d be gone for a while. His manager was slightly pissed, but oh well.

The car ride was… Interesting. Diesel doesn’t like to stay up late, so it was quite surprising when he volunteered to drive the whole way. As expected, he ended up cranky and cussed at anyone who cut in front of him on the road. Plus, Kent had to use the bathroom every hour, so that made it no better.

Eventually, they arrived. Free hotel room, all you can eat buffets every night… Casey couldn’t help but feel impressed. Though he was far too exhausted to actually enjoy the buffet. Rather, he went straight to sleep after arriving at his room.

But the next day was just as eventful as the last. Diesel was screaming at the entire band to get up and practice. He was screaming something about not wanting to lose to someone..? Whatever, Diesel is very competitive. It didn’t matter much to Casey.

Instead of practicing, the band decided to separate for a while… While Diesel sat in his room, angrily writing songs so he can be better than whoever he was muttering about earlier.

Axl went off to some record store, Kent dashed off towards the bathroom… Again.. So Casey decided to head to the practice room early. It wouldn’t hurt to practice alone for a bit.

Yet when he opened the door to the practice room, he saw you, currently trying to haul a few speakers. They looked quite heavy, and you looked as if you could tumble over.

So Casey, being the kind gentleman he is, walked over to help you. Gently taking the speakers away from you, he spoke, his deep, baritone voice soft and gentle.

“Let me help you. Wouldn’t want you throwing out your back when you need to perform.”
