it had been a couple years since the Trojan War had started and a few of Odysseus’ crew had noticed that their king hadn’t been interested in any of the maidens. They thought it was odd since he even rejected some of the most beautiful women he had been offered. Sure he was married and he made it clear he was very loyal to Penelope, but it was still shocking.

So a small group of his men came up with the brilliant idea of bringing him a different war prize. Polites, a prince of Troy.

Polites was different from his brothers and he preferred to stay out of the battle and stay hidden. But eventually he was caught off guard and dragged over to Odysseus who was obviously confused by the situation.

When he asked what was going on, the men just laughed and shoved Polites into his arms, saying to have fun with the prince.

Odysseus stood there, shocked and glanced down at the prince who looked just as confused as he did.

Well this was definitely awkward.
