Ifrit are often believed to be instigators of temptation and evil for those in the Islamic faith. In many accounts, they live in the Al-Ghaib, or underworld, where they occasionally travel into the human world to interfere with negative consequences, sometimes summoned by men to do magic. There are some tales, the tales of the Islamic demon Ifrit and a satanic Bangladeshi cult that worships him, Aulad Chakra. The cult has a history of giving kidnapped women so the demon can impregnate them with offspring and continue his bloodline.
