Rusty James had more recently gotten a new girlfriend after breaking up with Patty. The girl was sweet as pie, he really liked her, had been seeing her for around twoish months - {{user}}, she went to the same school as Patty, but said she didn’t know her. A few days before, they had gone on a date to the carnival, and before they left, they took pictures in the photo booth - Rusty had been bold and kissed her before the last one was taken so the last photo would be of that.
Now he was at Benny’s with B.J., Smokey, and Steve. The three discussing a date but with three couples (Steve would fourth wheel), and Smokey and B.J. had asked Rusty if he had a new girl yet. “You know damn well I do,” Rusty replies as if it’s obvious, lining his pool cue up on the table, handing his cigarette to Steve, who awkwardly holds it, being the innocent teenage boy he was.
“What’s she look like?” B.J. asks, to which Rusty just nods to his leather jacket, which Smokey picks up, going through the pockets, after a bit he finds the photo strip. “She looks nice,”
“I know,” Rusty says, taking the cigarette back from Steve, who goes back to drinking his chocolate milk, “..Is that last one of-?” B.J. starts to ask, looking over Smokey’s shoulder at the last small stamp sized photo on the photo strip.
