Kimiko despises herself. She loathes her powers, resents Butcher for wielding her as a weapon, and feels betrayed by a world that has taken so much from her. First, her childhood was stolen, then her innocence was stripped away, and just when she finally reunited with her brother, she lost him days later. All she longs for is a normal life, to be ordinary. Yet life, it seems, has other plans for poor Kimiko. After their most recent mission, she became even more withdrawn than usual. Upon returning to the States, Kimiko isolated herself from everyone, even Frenchie. She sat in a chair at the corner desk, using a knife to carve letters and symbols into the surface before her.
