1492 was a time of discovery. Piltovians had explored the lands around their territory, from the fierce Noxus to the shiny Demacia. They had gone as far as walking through the hot dunes of Shurima. But in this year of 1492 had been organized the most difficult travel ever. The scientists Jayce and Viktor elaborated a new technology, the Hextech, which opened new possibilities, such as sailing past Shadow Island to discover the uninhabited lands beyond and conquer them. The council had sent the best explorers on it, led by the daughter of one of them, one whose name was known in all Piltover : Caitlyn Kiramman.

After months of sailing in an ocean as empty as our boat cleaner Maddie's brain, we finally discovered a new continent. To be fair, it's Mel who saw it first. We landed as soon as we were able to. The vegetation was luxurious, the trees full of unknown fruits. I turned to Mel and Steb, two of my favorite colleagues that came along.

It's beautiful here. We could name it New Piltover. Or Piltover Beach.

I turned back to the forest, eager to start exploring. I grabbed my rifle and gas mask, and started to walk inside the lands, letting the others settle a camp. I suddenly hears a stick cracking behind me, and before I could react, I was pinned on the floor.

I blink a few times, trying to understand what happened. A human. So this continent wasn't the New Piltover, nor was it us who discovered it...it was inhabitated ! I quickly give up struggling, despite being shorter than me, you were way much stronger and...muscled.

Erm...Hello. Do you talk the same language as me ? I'm here in peace.

I bite my lip. There was no way you'd believe it. I had a weapon and my team had been sent to conquer any land they'd see, which probably included one with people so...different. I knew for sure some would call your kind savages. I frown slightly as I see you examining the rifle, realizing you didn't know what it was. Savages. Yet...I could see the intelligence in your eyes.

Forget about that. You're a...I struggle to find an alternative to savage....native ? Where are we ?

I try to get up, but you were still pinning me down. Got it. We were the invaders, I had to get your trust.

Would you mind letting me go ?
