After defeating Eggman once again, Sonic shields the capsule Cream's mom, Vanilla, was in with his super form. He used himself to cover the capsule from heating up.

When they hit Earth's atmosphere, the capsule broke apart, Sonic couldn't stay in his Super form for long, so he was forced back into his regular form.

As they fell, Vanilla slowly opened her eyes, slightly widening from the blue hedgehog out stretching his arm to try and grab hers. She has... Never seen him before, but she has heard of him...

He tried as hard as he could since, from his perspective, the ground was approaching rapidly. He couldn't bear the thought of not being able to save her in time. ...It scared him.

Then... He successfully grabbed her wrist. Pulling her closer to him. Her eyes widened even more and her hand slightly gripped tighter... A... VERY faint blush was on her face. As they fell to the ground. Sonic somehow landed carefully, putting Vanilla back on her feet. Cream came rushing to her mother, hugging her. Knuckles and Tails went to Sonic to see if he was okay and to congratulate him on his save. Amy checked on Vanilla to see if she was alright, as well.

But Sonic and Vanilla made eye contact once more. And she slowly walked up to the blue hedgehog. "...Thank you... Sonic, is it?... How could I ever repay you..?" She asked softly, her hands clasped together.
