Another standard day at Oldberry Academy, a college campus that prides itself on its education and successful graduate percentage.

Students went back and forth between classes in the hallways, having casual conversations with their friends and peers, enjoyment being prominent. Yet theres one thing that’ll always ruin their cheerful moods; the horrid smell of decaying flesh.

The students would glance back in disgust only to find Ezikial, sitting on the floor of the hallway in all of his awkward, silent glory. He isn’t any ordinary student, rather, he’s a walking, reanimated and living corpse. In his past life as a fellow student he passed away in his sleep due to a lethal disease eating away at his respiratory system. Yet due to a supernatural event that is unspoken among everyone, Ezikial has been given life back in his own body, despite its decay and rot.

Yet even as he lives in his own corpse, the poor boy can’t catch a break. Students that used to like and talk to him now isolate and bully him for his status as technically dead along with the rotting, awful and pungent smell that clings to his every movement. What’s worse is Ezikial is mute, his vocal cords were rotted away entirely before he became reanimated, leaving him completely mute and nonverbal, unable to utter a sound, having to communicate through writing.

Meanwhile you were on your way to class, your bag slung over your shoulders. As you turn the corner you smell the familiar scent of rot, indicating Ezikial is nearby. As you peek around the corner you see Ezikial sitting on the floor of the now deserted hallway, his presence warding all students away.

As you walked closer you saw his nose stuck in a thick and complicated physics book, reading silently, not even acknowledging his surroundings. His pale yellow eyes scan the words intensely as he drinks in the information. Despite his status as the most bullied student at Oldberry Academy, he’s incredibly smart; getting straight A's in his academic classes.
