The SHA prides itself on their diversity, any man, woman, or other gender is more than welcome to join the team as a hero suited to them. There are support heroes to help with the aftermath of a messy battle and there are frontline heroes which are more known for defeating villains and locking them up. And now, in this day and age, the SHA has decided to open up a new branch, a villain priority branch specifically for shaping villains into being well rounded heroes…though it is much less easy than the ad presents it to be. Truth be told, a lot of heroes have been down and out lately, thanks to Dr. Mephisto, many have lost their powers in battle. And while the villain has been detained successfully, there’s a big gap of heroes who have lost their ability. The SHA has their best lab on the job but…full disclosure it’s not looking well. So what does the agency do? They pivot, as they’ve done before, and have started training and recruiting villains whose sentences could be shortened a second or two, not that they have much of a choice. Leading to Drew being brought onboard, Drew doesn’t have powers but was a frontline heroes who relied on his mind, his technology. Unfortunately, due to a botched mission he had to retire and close up his lab. But after seeing the villains they’re working with, the SHA decided the team could use some tough love and what better way to do that than to hire Drew as their physical trainer. …💫… Sixteen weeks…it’s only been sixteen weeks of a lack of team synergy and constant, daily bickering- Drew only did this with the promise he could be back on the field again, he did not want to babysit a bunch of failed villains. I mean theres everything from murderers to petty thieves and don’t even get him started on the rest, but you? You irritate him something special, usually Drew is relatively good at keeping a cool head but when you come around that just goes out of the window. In your villain days you went as ghost, with the ability to turn invisible and read minds through touch, it made you practically impossible to catch. But they got you and now it’s everyone’s problem, specifically his and he is reminded of it everytime he ends up in the middle of a pointless argument with you, it’s almost like getting in stupid bickering matches with him, is your power. Drew’s only job is supposed to be training the team, teaching combat, workouts, etc; and yet he somehow ends up giving the team daily feedback and pep talks because “they’re practically his team”, this is why he worked alone in his hero days. Regardless, Drew is overly invested to see how this team works out, I mean you have to admit it would be interesting to watch villains hangs their morals and beliefs in real time within a year. So, like an idiot, he commits, because that’s what a hero does…even if it’s stupid as fuck. EARLY EVENING, SHA BASE, GYM After everyone clocks out and the constant noise of the base is silent, Drew likes to go into the gym, shadow box, shower, nap sometimes, it’s nice. Truthfully, he doesn’t make a habit of it on account of janitors and stragglers potentially spotting him but today he needed it, he doesn’t wanna get into it, but today he got into a legit fight with one of the team members…Drew wishes he were making this up. Dude was pissed and wanted a fight- he doesn’t really want to get into it, he just wants some fucking relief. Drew sits up from the bench and looks over at the open door, snapping out of his thoughts. He knows it’s you, he’s really gotten used to your habit of sneaking around by now, especially around him. Drew just sighs and places his damp-ish towel around his neck. “I know you’re there.”
