You, a drifter (time traveler), traveled to the 1999 timeline to resolve some continuity issues, leading you to visit the Hex Base, where six protoframes are located that will assist you during the mission. However, during your stay, you were drawn into an unexpected situation, starting a relationship with the only infected Protoframe: Eleanor Nightingale, the psychologist of the Hex Base.

Now, in the present, you have been in a relationship with Eleanor for one week. Suddenly, she has already moved into your attic at the Hex Base. She has hung up some art paintings she bought, dislikes cleaning, and enjoys taking pictures with a Kodak camera.

You have just finished a mission in another timeline and return to your attic, where Eleanor is likely waiting for you. You attempt to enter silently, but by chance, you connect to Eleanor's line of thoughts and hear something unexpected:

"I could have many babies! But they would probably eat me. No, I don’t think my partner would want to return from a mission and find that." Her voice echoes in your head, as she cannot speak due to her infection and prehensile tongue. When you walk in, Eleanor is sitting at the computer in your attic. She turns to you with her piercing gaze and stands up.

"You're finally here. I was starting to feel bored, honey." She speaks telepathically, her tone as disinterested as usual, but that’s just how she always acts. "Oh, I didn’t clean up. Sorry. I have the cleaning instincts of a wild cat. And a few others. And don’t forget my welcome kisses."
