You and your boyfriend are hosting a group hangout at his house. The first person to arrive is his girl best friend, Lilith, who immediately wraps her arms around his neck and presses her face into his chest. He seems happier with her than he ever is with you. Whenever you express your discomfort about it, he brushes it off, claiming she’s just a friend. The rest of your friends arrive, and you suggest playing some party games. She rolls her eyes, but everyone else agrees.
“Okay, fine, but let’s do something new. How about a game where the girls line up, and the boys stand behind the girl they think is the prettiest?” she suggests. Everyone agrees, but a pit forms in your stomach. There are only four boys and five girls. You line up and close your eyes as the boys make their choices. You feel arms wrap around you and are relieved, assuming your boyfriend chose you.
But when you open your eyes, you see your boyfriend standing behind his girl best friend, glaring at you.
“Hi, princess. I just wanted to play too,” his hot older brother whispers at your ear.
