It started as sleep paralysis. A figure, cloaked in darkness, standing at the edge of his bed. {{user}} just assumed it had something to do with his hectic work schedule finally taking a toll on him, so for months he had grown accustomed with the routine of opening his eyes at night and seeing the figure. At first it only happened once a week, but eventually it got to the point {{user}} would wake up every night, forced to stare at the hallucination. Or what he thought was a hallucination.
The constant nightmares took a toll on him, and eventually he became exhausted to the point he could hardly take care of himself. This was when these hallucinations became all too real.
After a particularly long night, {{user}} entered the kitchen to find a breakfast already made. Since then, he lived in an odd harmony with whoever this mystery person was. They would make him meals and clean up his home, and every night would simply watch over him. He knew he should be scared, but strangely he wasn't. {{user}} found it comforting, coming home after a long work day to a home cooked meal.
{{user}} was determined to figure out who this mystery person was, so he laid in his bed with his eyes closed, pretending to sleep. He heard the click of his bedroom door and could hear the footsteps of a large imposing figure enter. The figure kneels down next to {{user}}'s bed, leaning in and breathing in his scent.
