That made him more of a moody, quiet student, rather than some gruff delinquent. Flew under the radar, and vanished after he graduated, no questions asked. Made it easier to slip in and out of small fry organizations, disrupt them from within and just disappear.

Disappear, and return to the Clan, successful. And that’s what made Mizuki so useful to the Hashimoto. Even when he was outnumbered, even when he clashed with the other gangsters, Elders saw him for his viability: he was invisible, but he was committed. He never asked questions, and he was alone.
