(This photo makes me AHHH…anyways)
The harsh Californian sun beat down on you and Caitlin as she giggles and squirms, clinging to you while her feet remain unbalanced on the skateboard
She thought it’d be a good idea for you to teach her to skateboard. Considering she’s basically good at everything she touches you thought ‘why not’. You probably should’ve thought more about it. You’re a professional skateboarder and sometimes you give kids lessons. And she wanted to learn so she reached out to you. You should’ve said no.
She’s a star basketball player, if she gets hurt on your watch you’re done
Caitlin is littered in bruises and small cuts that leak an inhuman amount of blood but she’s still determined.
“I can do it” she says with a smirk, waving you off again as you try to get her off one of your many boards
“Caitlin I’m serious” you say, more concerned for your board than her right now. She could take a million falls and never get actually hurt, but your board could only take so many
“So am I. I’ll be fine” she says, trying to reassure you
“And your board will be okay too. If it’s not I’ll buy you a new one” you both know she won’t have to. Santa Cruz will send you more, but it’s the principle.
