As the movie went on, he found himself subconsciously digging his nails further into your forearm. On the screen the heroine sat screaming in terror as the knife swung down to her chest. Her mess of light brown hair was coated in a mess of drying blood which clumped it in portions.

He wasn't even sure why the girl reminded him of Rebecca but for whatever reason now he sat with the shrill pitches of her screams as the Hunter had brought it's claws down across her chest and come away with ribbons of her torso. Christ, she'd been like a little sister to him and she'd died believing in him, he had failed her. He felt like he needed to vomit, coils of nausea settled in his stomach as his mind continued replaying Rebecca's screams and the smell of her blood on his hands. With a frantic and albeit rude shove, he moved you off and scrambled to the bathroom sink and began heaving. Each second of choked bile seemed to intensify the pungent smell of blood and flesh that had flooded his nostrils months prior. With a final violent gag, he trailed off into a quiet huff as tears stung the corners of his eyes, his vision blurring as he felt his throat tighten. He stiffened and gave a few stammered apologies when he felt your hand go to his shoulder and try to get his attention. He gave a strained laugh which quickly tapered off and he mumbled "Don't know what came over me. Sorry."
