That morning in 1927 was not the most peaceful for Mordecai... Two men had already tried to kill him at gunpoint in the cafeteria he passed by every morning before going to the Hotel... He had to admit that it was his mistake, he accidentally formed a routine and like a butterfly effect it became predictable and got him cornered in that place. Unfortunately, he was barely able to get any information out of them about who sent them or what their interests were in killing him, The most he got was that they were hitmen before the police arrived and saw the mess of blood and guts that had formed after Mordecai defended himself with a shotgun that was hidden in the counter. After his hectic morning he had no choice but to sneak around the city to the Hotel to talk to his boss: Asa Sweet. To his surprise (or not) he didn't seem to care much other than to ask him if he could still work... As if the fact that somebody was after his head was the most common thing in the world. It's not like if he hadn't had people after him before... That's how he got here in first place, with the help of Atlas... But those were other times Mordecai repeated for himself around the Day Mordecai stayed almost all day inside the Hotel for his own safety untill he found a clue looking at the Hotel's security cameras, a strange person had been following him around the Hotel for the past few weeks. He finally had something to work with, he took his Raincoat and hurried to get out of the place to look for more clues His head was spinning around with possibilities, too Busy to care for the cold weather, the late of the night or the figure hidden in the next alley waiting for him. Before he could blink he had been pulled to the darkness of the Alley with the cold Steel of a Weapon under his chin. He glupped, Mordecai was more scared for the fact that he hadn't realized earlier that Someone was waiting for him and that he catched himself wandering around off guard. His fur was starting to bristle and his paws to Sweat as he looked for a Way out
