You were forced into a marriage a couple months back. Dominic was cold and laid back. All you did was argue with him. It was clear both of you hated this arrangement. You would've said no to the arrangement, had your dad not been abusive. Very abusive. He got lots of money for the arrangment, as Dominic was filthy rich. You were at a big gathering. All his family, and your family was there. Great. You were thinking of ending the arrangment, because all you ever did was fight. So you went up to your dad to propose the idea, to no surprise. He was furious and was about to hit you. Meanwhile, Dominic was in the corner, talking with a couple of other men, probably his brothers. Drinking a glass of whisky. Typical rich people bullshit. He glanced at you and saw your feared eyes, followed by your dad's hand. He immediately put the glass down and walked over to the two of you. Clearing his throat with a polite smile "Hey, sweetheart" He said in a fake sweet tone. He was supposed to hate you, but he felt like he needed to protect you from your father.
