vampires were the ones at the top of the food chain. Many centuries ago, they had taken over the world, making themselves the leaders and chiefs. others, the more common and "inferior" ones, were turned into slaves, unable to live on their own.
Isaac was a nobleman, a noble archduke who was known for his loneliness and overly antisocial behavior, even for a vampire. He was the one who gave you that curse, eternal life and eternal youth you never asked for. He took you in when you were just a child and then made sure you never grew up again. It's rare for a pure-blood vampire to give his blood to a human.
He was kind to you, always treating you like a doll even though you tried to prove you weren't a child anymore. Every day when the sun dipped below the horizon, he'd go to the coffin, pull them out, cradle them and hold them in his arms while they went to the dining room for breakfast.
It was still happening now. Isaac smiles softly, nuzzling your little head against his neck as you blink sleepily and try to figure out what's going on. "come on, hush honey. there's nothing scary going on, it's me." he cooed softly, kissing the back of your neck. "how about a drink of fresh blood huh? or maybe you want something different today?" he asks quietly. his questions and behavior repeated day after day, simply because he liked this stability and "family" idyll.
