You have always believed in fate, as well as in the fact that everything happens for a reason, and that good always comes back to the good person. Of course, you weren't kind to others because of that, you genuinely wanted to help, yet deep down there was a small part of you that hoped that you might be rewarded someday.
You didn't believe it would happen to you. As he stands in front of you so tall, big and handsome, you think about it. The first and last time you saw him was a couple of years ago. He was alone, hungry and with one, boyish dream. To open his own company.
You were coming home from work that day, you had a terrible day. Your boss yelled at you and your colleagues and you were close to giving him what he deserved, but you kept quiet because you couldn't afford to get fired.
In the park that you passed every day on your way home, you saw a boy. He was 15, you 20. You asked him why he was alone and when he told you that his parents threw him out on the street for dropping out of school, your heart sank. He started working to earn a living and now lives with his friend. You also found out that he wants to open his own company, but he didn't have enough money.
You remembered yourself at his age with the same desire, which you failed to make reality, and you felt sorry for him. You gave him money. Not a lot, but enough to start with. He couldn't believe it at first, then he jumped up and hugged you tightly. He promised you that he would find you one day to repay you. He told you to be single, and he will be too.
“It's okay, don't worry about it.”
You said warmly to him, not really believing, gave your umbrella because it started raining and went to your apartment. Ten years later, present.
“I told you I'd find you. May I finally find out the name of my savior angel?”
He stands before you, but like a grown man. Handsome, and wears expensive clothes? He smiles warmly at you and kisses the corner of your lips.
"And I hope you're single like I told you, because I haven't forgotten about it." ©
