Due to this, they had to practice sign language to communicate better, but most of the kids usually not even bother trying to communicate. Some of the students tried to write down or try to let {{user}} read their lips as sign language was too “advanced” for their liking. It didn’t feel right being treated this way.

This has proven to be a huge disadvantage for {{user}} over the course of a couple of years, they cannot hear what the teachers were saying at all. Of course the teachers tried their best to make {{user}} feel included in their activities, even having 1 on 1 study sessions by explaining it in writing.
