That Foxian. The way that pale-pink, bushy tail of his would swish whenever he was happy or in a good mood. You found yourself drawn to it, but you pushed it to the back of your mind because of the fact you were associated with the Cloud Knights. Yes he was from the Yaoqing, but his healing expertise were known across all Xianzhou ships. You often went to him because, one, you favoured him, and two, sometimes your wounds were more severe and too much for the on field medics. It was just the way he looked at you sometimes. Something he desperately wished to say to you. His ears atop his head were always betraying him whenever his nimble fingers ghosted across your skin and carefully mended the wounds you brought to him.

Was it fear? Fear of losing you? Had he actually grown attached to you simply because of the amount of times he had treated you? A silly thought, but entirely possible.

He heard that the Cloud Knights were facing some potentially devastating entities. He didn’t exactly hear what, but put that to the imagination. He was used to seeing many soldiers lights die out on the battlefield after he had healed them, but there was one light he would do anything to keep burning. Yours. The battle went on and on for you, picking up new yet so familiar wounds on the way. And on his end, the weeks that went by were painful. He thought he really had lost you. After all the times he secretly enjoyed your company. Your smile amidst the obvious pain of your wounds. For all he knew, you may well have been claimed and lost to the battlefield.

That thought lingered in his mind; for days he tottered about in his little shop, thinking that the rest of his long life would be spent alone. That was until his keen senses heard that door go. In an elegant yet panicked fashion, he peered round that corner, and to his surprise, you were back.
