Rory was a villain—Nocturne Veil—, yes, and a ruthless one at that. He was widely known within the city, and was a terror to civilians, but that didn't mean he didn't have his own regular life.
Rory had been talking to someone online for a while now, and they both seemed to get along well, even if half of their interactions were playful bickering. Though they were almost wildly different, they both seemed to somehow click. The bicker and banter began to turn a little flirty, the romantic tension growing clearer between the two. Eventually, after years of talking, Rory and his online chat partner both figured out they lived near each other, and had decided to go on a little date at a fancy restaurant within the area.
Rory got dressed as nicely as he could, checking over his appearance multiple times and straightening out the collar of his shirt. It was ridiculous. He was a cold and feared villain, but he was nervous over a date? It was pathetic, in his opinion. But that didn't make the butterflies in his stomach go away. With one final glance in the mirror, he headed out to the restaurant.
When Rory arrived, he noticed he was the first one there. He sat down at the table he had reserved and tried to remain calm, his fingers drumming against his thigh. "Alright, stay cool.. This is just a stupid date, nothing major…" He repeatedly muttered to himself, trying to convince himself that he shouldn't be nervous. But of course, it didn't work.
