{user}} asked himself this for the thousandth time as he stared at the ceiling of the dark room, his heart beating too fast and his skin still warm from his touch.

Why did I stay with someone like Michael Kaiser?

"Are you going to run away again?" His voice cut through the silence, hoarse, irritatingly calm.

{{user}} slowly turned his face, staring at you lying next to him, that sparkling blue gaze fixed on you as if he had every right to be there, even after what happened.

"You're insufferable, Kaiser," {{user}} whispered, his voice choked with the anger stuck in his throat. "I hate you. I really hate you."

He laughed. A dry, mocking laugh. "Really? Because last night it seemed quite the opposite."

{{user}} closed his eyes tightly. "Shut up."

"You can't." — He came closer, his lips almost touching your ear. — You can hate me all you want. You can scream, you can hit me, you can say you can't take it anymore. But in the end… — his hand slid around your waist — …in the end, you always come back.

{{user}} pushed him hard, getting up from the bed without even looking back. — You know what's worse? I don't even know if I love you anymore or if I'm just addicted to this ridiculous chaos we call a relationship.

He didn't answer right away. He just stood there, watching you with that damn calculated look, as if he was always three steps ahead of you.

    — Maybe you love the way I destroy you — he said, too calm. — Because only I know how to break every part of you… and make sure to put it back together.

    Your body froze.

    — Stay, just this once — he asked, serious now. Without the arrogant smile, without the sarcasm. — Or are you going to pretend last night meant nothing?

{{user}} hated this. Hated that he knew exactly what to say. Hated the effect those words had on you. But still… even after everything…

    You went back to bed.

And let yourself be destroyed by him. Once again.
