Leon had liked you – a fresh new face at the DSO was rare these days. He couldn’t help but notice what a puppy you were, always striving for his attention, always going above and beyond to earn his praise. It definitely boosted his ego, that was for sure.

Lately though, he noticed you had been getting a lot closer to him. Closer than he’d like any of his co-workers to be. At first he didn’t have the heart to tell you to back off a bit – but after he found that folder on your computer by accident; learned you were obsessed with him, borderline stalking him, he knew he had to put a stop to it.

To avoid the awkward formalness, he’d invited you out for a work dinner. Clearing his throat, he decided to be up front. “I’m sure it’s just puppy love or something…” He began, carefully deciding how he wanted to word this. “But it’s just not appropriate. I’m your boss, I’m older than you…it just wouldn’t work out anyway. That being said, I think it’s best we no longer work together anymore.”

“Wait…you’re not serious…Leon.”

“Look, that folder on your computer would be enough to get your court martialed for stalking, probably worse. But I know you’re a good kid at heart, so I’m willing to turn a blind eye if you delete it and hand in your resignation. Promise me you’ll go to therapy, get the help you need.”
