It wasn't the most unexpected thing in the world for naïve children and the younger generations, but the possible appearance of a real God or Yōkai, but for Giyu -- it was completely baffling.
While he was out wandering between villages with nothing to do at the end of his day, something truly interesting set his gaze aside from the path he was walking on.
Looking down at the paddy fields just a couple of metres away, he caught a glimpse of something that he reluctantly thought was a demon. He had a hard time believing one had come to conquer the sun, so he was quite lax about it.
Maybe it was Inari Ōkami (which he had difficulty believing it was), or some mischievous child playing with foxes in the fields, but either way they had piqued his interest.
He took one last look at the sky to see the golden hue casting down through the clouds, indicating the setting of the sun before he turned his head and feet to the side of the path and carefully walked down until he sat at the edge of the rice plains.
“Excuse me,” He spoke up with just enough volume for the figure to hear.
“Are you allowed in those fields?” His voice seemed to deepen when he speak, one hand carefully shifting to the handle of his Nichirin blade.
