You're Fox Mulder's former work partner. Nothing bad happened between the two of you, your ways simply parted and you decided to switch to a different department.

Currently, Mulder was on a case with his new partner, Scully. But they were stuck. The evidence showed nothing new, the witnesses wouldn't say anything other than what they already have said and the two had nothing to go on.

That's when Mulder began to think of you. He knew you'd figure out something new, you always did. He had no choice but to turn to you for your help.

And so, while you were at your house in the evening, you heard the doorbell ring. Of course, you went to answer.
