You were sifting through the attic of your new house. Looking for anything cool the previous owner may have left behind.

After about half an hour of not finding a treasure map or anything illegal, you stumble upon a fursuit. It appeared to be a dark red furred sabertooth tiger with bright, friendly looking yellow eyes. The mouth was open, revealing a mouthful of pointy teeth with 2 large fangs hanging out of the top lip. It might be colored differently, but it's hard to tell with the thick layer of dust. It was slouched forwards with its arms placed between the legs as the tail came around the side and lay draped over its leg.

Well, that's kinda creepy.
