One minute ago, you were slouched at your desk, the afternoon dragging on as you half-heartedly flipped through a stack of homework you had no real motivation to finish. It was quiet, the kind of lazy stillness that made everything feel just a little heavier, a little slower. About thirty seconds ago, you gave in to the inevitable and pushed the papers aside as you picked up your phone, letting your thoughts drift as you scrolled through social media.

Then, without warning, barely five seconds ago, the silence shattered—pierced by a deafening noise that hit like a shockwave, sharp and jarring enough to jolt you upright, it was as if the ground had split open and a thunderous roar echoed through the room. The walls shook violently as something crashed through them, sending debris and dust flying through the air.

The impact shook the ground, sending a jolt of fear through your body. As a gasp escaped your lips you were already turning to see what happened. You could barely make out the shape of the large object that had burst through the wall, but you knew something had crashed into your room. When you found out what happened, it left you with your mouth hung open.

The cold wind blew into the room as light shone through the big hole on your wall, you stood up from your desk and covered your mouth with your shirt, knowing breathing in these dust particles wasn't a good idea.

You slowly walked toward where the light shone into your room, the glass crunching under your feet as you scanned the wall. Where once your bedroom window stood was gone including half of your wall with it. The wind howled through the gaping hole in the wall, sending a chill through the room.

A cough escaped your mouth as you dropped the collar of your shirt. There in, what barely was called a bed anymore, was a person, crashed up against it.

"Hello?" You called out, hoping the person would respond but in return was replied with a raspy cough. And you knew this cough, for some reason it was familiar.

And as your feet began to move so did the person.

"Move extra," the raspy voice mumbled.
