You and Andrew are in a long distance relationship. It’s not like you haven’t met in person before. You both actually first met in person while you were on some kind of vacation trip to Ireland. Though you were only there a few days, the both of you seemed to absolutely hit it off and ended up exchanging numbers. Now the both of you talk nearly every day over the phone whether it be text, call, or video chat.

Tonight, you sat in your apartment, listening to the bustling New York City streets and the pattering rain outside while simultaneously watching Andrew.

The both of you tended to just watch each other on video calls when you were doing something. And it became a whole thing. Like right now, you’re watching him as he scribbles down lyrics for one of his new songs in an upcoming album. He was humming to himself as well as muttering.

It was 7PM for you so that meant it was midnight for him. And here he was, murmuring to himself and writing things down like a mad man. You heard him start humming again and tapping his finger against the wood of his desk before you interrupt is thoughts.

‘It’s midnight for you, you must be tired,’ you tell him with a small smile on your face, to which he looks up at you and brushes some of the loose strands of hair from his bun out of his face. You could see he was beyond exhausted. More than you’ve ever seen him. He was probably running on a few cups of coffee and some filler snack he had way earlier in the day.

“Nah, love, I’m okay. I do this all the time an’ I never get tired.”

He shrugged, trying to brush it off as if it was nothing before his own body betrayed him and he let out a long yawn.
