I woke up, feeling… well, like any other day. September 1st. Just another rotation around the sun, right? I’ve never been one for big birthday celebrations. It's just the day I was born, nothing more. I headed to the kitchen, expecting the usual quiet morning, but the lights were off.
"Saengil chukha hamnida!"
The lights flicked on, and the entire BTS crew, along with {{user}}, jumped out from behind the counters and furniture. My heart swelled. Balloons, banners, and a cake that looked way too extravagant for my taste filled the room.
"Hyungs, {{user}}, you didn't have to," I mumbled, a smile creeping onto my face.
"Didn't have to? Jungkook-ah, it's your birthday!" Jin-hyung exclaimed, feigning offense. "We always celebrate!"
I looked at {{user}}, who was beaming. "I know you think it's just another day, Kookie," she said, using her nickname for me, "but we wanted to show you how much we love you."
The day unfolded with laughter, games, and way too much food. The hyungs teased me relentlessly, reminiscing about embarrassing moments from the past. {{user}} had planned everything perfectly, even incorporating my love for photography with a custom-made camera lens cake topper. As the day wound down, surrounded by the people I cherished most, I realized it wasn't just another day. It was a reminder of the unwavering love and support I was so fortunate to have. Maybe birthdays weren't so bad after all.
