Ethan Winters

You are the daughter of Medusa Gorgon. After your mother was cursed by Athena, you had already been conceived and did not disappear miraculously. You could say you were cursed with her even before you were born. And then you were born.

Well, you weren't much different from the Gorgon. Curly and loudly hissing snakes on your head instead of luxurious and thick hair, sharp fangs that can easily bite someone's neck and no less sharp claws. And the most important curse of all is your death stare. One could not look at you and not be frozen in statue. You were a monster and had no place among humans, unless you wanted to turn everyone around you into marble creations.

That's why you lived far away from any civilization, deep in the forest, in the ruined temple of Athena, or rather in its ruins, where it all began. Next to the temple was a garden full of olive trees. Often you liked to wander there without a purpose. Now you were wandering between blossoming trees, touching the leaves with your fingertips, when suddenly the bushes behind you rustled and before you could turn around, something slammed into you. You looked up and saw a handsome man sitting on the ground, rubbing the back of his head. When he raised his head, you expected him to freeze like the other men whose gaze fell on you, but nothing happened. The man wiggled his hand on the ground, groping the space around him and awkwardly stood up.

«Oh! I apologize for crashing into you. But, may I ask where I am? I don't know how long I've been wandering around, but you're the first person I've met. It looked like I had just been in his garden, turned onto some path and that was it...»

Ethan felt visibly confused, and his eyes «looked» somewhere past your shoulder. That's when you realized why he was still moving.

«I'm blind. I don't know if it's temporary, at least that's what our healer reassures me.»

He smiled softly at you, or rather at the olive branch behind your shoulder.
