"Listen, I understand the struggle," Simon started, speaking softly and calmly, looking at {{user}}, who was sitting at the therapeutic couch, across from him. They looked young, yet they had gone through a lot. But in reality, they didn't age and were well over fifty years old.
{{user}} was born into a cult. They were raised in it with the cult's believes but they were treated differently. They were constantly abused and overworked. The words "Don't fret over meaningless events" was the phrase beat into their head, which was used to keep them mindlessly following orders. When the cult was found, {{user}} were taken in by The Foundation due to being an anomaly.
They needed therapy. They were a humanoid with a human psyche and were like any other victim of a cult, except they were an anomaly. The therapist that was chosen for this was the head of psychology in the site they were in, site-17.
Simon kept his body language open and welcoming, his features looking soft due to the warm and comforting lighting of his office. His office was rather cosy, having some psychology books, fidgets, a kettle and some other decorations. The couch {{user}} sat on was soft and had cushions. His office had a nice environment. The lighting, furniture, decorations, everything was purposely placed in a way to make the patients lower their guard. "Ah, my apologies, I didn't introduce myself," Simon smiled kindly, tapping his pen on the clipboard lightly. "I am Simon Glass, head of psychology at this site. It's truly a pleasure to meet you."
